School-Age Care

Welcome to School District 197 School-Age Care!

Our School-Age Care (SAC) program offers enriching activities and experiences designed to keep children in kindergarten through eighth grade engaged, active, and having fun beyond the school day. Two before school and after school programs are available—listed below. 

Extra Innings for Grades K - 4: Extra Innings is our program for elementary school students. Before school SAC will be available from 6:30 a.m. until the start of the school day. Based on enrollment and staff availability, before school sites may be combined and children will be bussed to their home school by their school’s start time. After school SAC runs from the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m. at each elementary school.

Encore for Grades 5 - 8: Our Encore program serves students in grades 5-8. Morning care is available at your child’s school site, Heritage Middle School, or Friendly Hills. For after-school programming, students are taken by district transportation to the Noreen Activity Center (1575 Charlton St., West St. Paul). Before school SAC will be available from 6:30 a.m. until the start of the school day. After school SAC runs from the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m.

School Year SAC Hours of Operation
Before School Care: 6:30 a.m. to the start of the school day.
After School Care: the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m.

SAC Summer Camp Hours of Operation
The Summer program for children entering grades kindergarten-eight. Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.

Non-School Days
SAC is open for several non-school days a year. You may choose as many or as few days as you require. Activities include field trips and fun onsite activities such as cooking, indoor and outdoor play, crafts and more!
